Exciting news from the development front – I've crafted an epic new update for Realms! 🌟 Realms 2.0 is a new (but similar) version of the game and it is being released for both physical and digital versions through Kickstarter!

So, what's new?

• 🎉 Solo/Duet+: Now enjoy the magic of Realms with even more friends! The game has been updated to play with more than 2 players whilst still keeping it a great solo game.
• 💡 Token System: A fresh approach to the current interaction points system, players will gather tokens whenever they do something great in the game. They can then use those tokens to get out of any scrapes they get into (and to help their fellow players).
• 📜 Thematic Prompts: Immerse yourself deeper with richer narrative elements; each country should feel even more distinct than they are now.
• 🪄 New Archetype: Introducing the Scholar, a new archetype that uses a new encounter stat based on knowledge, research, and insight.

• All pieces of art in the game are human-made.
• Eight Natures, with updated art for each and new, more evocative names and descriptions like, "Rootbound: Plant-based beings deeply attuned to nature. Who strongly rely on magical energy to communicate."
• Six Belongings, now with taglines like, "O’lage Depths, the Realm of Heat and Stone" and "Grojie Heartlands, the Land of Ancient Wisdom."
• Six Magic Types, including two new ones, such as, "Imbued, generate magic by waving enchanted objects. Each motion releases the latent power of the objects’ material. "

In keeping with the promise made last year, anyone that bought the original Realms game ( before the Kickstarter went live) will get a 50% discount on the PDF version of Realms 2.0 when it is released on itch.io. Unfortunately, physical copies are unlikely to be printed after the Kickstarter so that may be the only chance to get them!
