A downloadable worldbuilding game

Buy Now$3.00 USD or more

Glimpse is a solo journaling game crafted for worldbuilders and fans of speculative evolution. Immerse yourself in the role of a xeno-anthrozoologist, delving into the mysterious interactions between sapient alien cultures and the diverse, non-sapient xenofauna they share their worlds with.

How to Play

In Glimpse, your journey is guided by drawing cards or selecting options from relevant tables, which reveal details about the creatures you're tracking. As you progress, you'll record your findings in a journal, track creatures on an exploration map, and learn from local sapient aliens. With each phase, you build up three creatures that you can plug into your world.

What You'll Need

  • A Creature Page: For detailing the unique creatures you encounter.
  • A Journal: To record your observations and findings.
  • A Deck of Cards (jokers removed): To guide your discoveries.
  • Discovery Tokens: At least 8 small items to mark your progress.
  • Character Token: A small item to represent your character.
  • Pen or Pencil: For all your journaling needs.

Glimpse is currently in early access and so still in development. More editing and playtesting is needed, and your feedback is invaluable. If you encounter any errors or have suggestions, please share them with me. Additionally, imagery will be added to enhance the experience in future updates. Thank you for your support and participation in making Glimpse the best it can be!
