The Wandering Forest

A one-shot which is system neutral, it has been described as similar to a fairytale adventure. This adventure is a tool for GMs; the locations and NPCs in this adventure are here to help prompt you into making a story.

The party all accidentally find themselves in the wandering forest. Perhaps they were foraging nearby for some berries, or maybe they were hunting or conducting an investigation. For whatever reason, they have all found themselves in this forest simultaneously. Some might have already been here and have grown old in their wandering whilst only a few hours pass by outside in the ‘normal’ world.

The forest itself is alive and constantly changing; paths you found before won’t be there once you turn back. It is effortless for players to get lost, which leads them to encounter strange discoveries or new roleplaying opportunities. Players will journey from their starting point further into the forest, as the only way home is to find a pond in the forest’s centre. This is not easy, but they have a helper, Tas, who will appear soon in the adventure and give them tips on escaping the forest in exchange for protection from its elements.
