Finding My Way Back

As you slowly open your eyes, you look around, trying to get your bearings, but you can’t remember anything about who you are, where you come from, or how you ended up in the forest. You know you need to find your memories and a way to safety…

Finding My Way Back is a simple game about exploration. Each day you have 16 hours to travel, cook and build objects, with your goal being to find your way home. Several events will interrupt your travels, such as shady merchants, stomping rhinos and glowing red crystals.

This game is designed to be easy to customise; just swap out the roll table text or tweak the dice mechanics. The game has a solid framework that is easy to build upon, which is why it is being released under a CC-By license.

 

Finding my way is designed for 1-2 players. The game requires components from the board game CATAN:

Solo

• The robber token.
• Catan Hex Tiles
• Two six-sided dice (2d6)
• Catan resource cards

Two-Player

• Catan Hex Tiles
• Two six-sided dice (2d6)
• Catan resource cards
• Catan border tiles
• Catan house tokens
